Although
I am not ill, I do not have very healthy beautiful hair. In fact, none of
the women in my family do. I have gone to many wig shops and purchased many
different makers over the years and I have never felt truly satisfied with
the fit, the color, or the advice, as I always felt the sales people were
trying to sell me. Before meeting Amy, my social life had come to a complete
stop. I didn’t feel pretty and so I didn’t wanted anyone to
see me.
Finding Amy and Crown and Glory has changed my life in that I feel really
beautiful for the first time. Amy spent a lot of time showing me how to
work with wigs in all kinds if circumstances, and now I feel so confident.
It’s as if all of a sudden, the hair I am wearing is really like
my own. The new color that Amy suggested, which is just a few shades from
the one I have been wearing, took years off me. For the first time in
years I am dating and really enjoying my life. I had no idea how dormant
my life had become due to my lack of self-esteem. Amy, all I can say is
Thank You!

Amy, you are not just a person that sold a wig to me (anyone can do that),
but you genuinely care about things and what a person is going through.
You were there to talk to and showed me real concern. After working with
you, I have learned to successfully handle my hair loss and love myself
so much more. You and your stylist helped me feel much more confident!
I adore my “New Hair” and you were right... no one can tell
it’s not mine!

Amy - Thanks so much for fixing the piece before I went to NYC. It smelled
delicious and looked great. I loved what you did with the rollers. I'll
have to come over for a lesson one of these days, so I can learn for myself
and purchase whatever it is I need. Anyway - I just wanted to thank you
very much.

“Working with Amy changed my life forever. For years I felt like
a freak. Now I love myself with or without hair.”

In January 2004 I learned that I had Alopecia Areata. My hair fell out
fairly rapidly, so my Mom took me to the Positive Image Center at City
of Hope. The center assisted getting wig for my Mom when she lost her
hair during chemotherapy. During that visit I was told about Amy, and
a suggestion was made to contact her because she has Alopecia.
Meeting her was a wonderful experience and her positive attitude made
losing my hair less difficult. I was glad to have her help when selecting
my hairpieces. She is so encouraging that you feel that you can handle
any problem. Thank you, Amy, for your support. Love,

“I wish I had known Amy 15 years ago when my late wife had breast
cancer and underwent chemotherapy. We had no idea what to do or where
to go for information or wigs. Amy would have been a blessing to a husband
who wanted to help his wife still feel and look beautiful inside and out.
What Amy is doing for so many people will make a tremendous impact in
the medical community as well as the thousands of people dealing with
the effects of hair loss.”

When I met Amy, I was 44 and wearing a wig for the 1st time. I had Alopecia
since I was 22, but always had enough hair to go without a piece. It was
devastating to me – I moved 3000 miles cross country, changed my
life and 75% of my hair fell out. I was dating a new man, and afraid to
go out because of what he’d think about my hair loss and wig.
Amy was my hope and inspiration – she guided me through the ways
to handle intimacy with a man and hair loss with practical suggestions
such as “Use Humor” - “Only tell him when you’re
ready” and a lot of “role play” and love. She helped
me understand that I had to accept my situation before I could feel comfortable
with someone else accepting it. I now love my wigs – my boyfriend
loves me with or without hair, and I realize you can have a life with
Alopecia and have fun with hairpieces if you can accept yourself. Thank
you Amy for changing my life and giving me the hope, encouragement and
inspiration to go on with my life. God Bless You.

Amy is the first person I have ever met that truly understands what I
am going through. Being a wife, mother, and teacher has my life in constant
movement and make wearing a wig uncomfortable at times. She helped me
with
the challenges that wearing a wig was presenting in my personal life and
gave me ways to make wearing a wig so much easier. The wig she made for
me is so beautiful and real looking that after leaving her office I was
in the elevator and a woman turned to me and said "I love your hair"!
After purchasing her products, I feel more self-confident about my appearance
and am much happier in my life!

Dear Amy, as you know, I have Alopetia Totalis, so I have no body hair
whatsoever. For 27 years, I have worn what I thought were state of the
art hairpieces. However, I was always hot, sweaty and very uncomfortable
when wearing my old hairpieces. I couldn’t wait to return home and
take them off. Because they were very expensive, I was conditioned to
believe there were no better products available.
Meeting you has changed all that. Your hairpieces are the lightest and
most comfortable I have ever worn. The top of my head no longer feels
like a steam bath under glass. Best of all, these are the nicest looking,
most stylin’ hairpieces I have ever worn. Since wearing your hairpieces,
I receive frequent compliments on my new, modern hairstyle.
Lastly, I greatly appreciate your personal involvement and attention
to every detail of my hairpieces. I look forward to years of “hairpiece
happiness” with you. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Sincerely,
